PART 01: Context Clue Practice (30 minutes)

  • Start by typing your first and last name. Remember to capitalize each, as they are proper nouns. Click/tap “Join”.
  • Follow the prompts given to you. If you do not understand directions or words, simply ask the program to explain to you what you do not understand.
  • You can have the text read to you by scrolling to the bottom and clicking on the ‘Speak’ button (you may need to wait a few seconds for the audio to generate).
  • Please read each message before replying (you might need to scroll down if you’re using a small screen).
  • Copy/Pasting an AI-generated response will not earn a grade, credit, or skills. You’re simply wasting time, and you’re better than that.

PART 02: Writing Practice (20 minutes) (below Part 1)

  • Review the common roles (parts) that people play when taking part in a big heist (complex theft).
  • Choose a role you believe you would do well.
  • Write a 5 to 7-sentence paragraph about your choice and why you believe you would do well in that role.
  • If you would like to dictate (speech to text) your answer:
    • Go to the ‘send a message’ box
    • Click on the mic icon to the right.
    • In the message box, you will see a white dotted line form. When you speak, the dots should be enlarged. If they do not change size, the mic is not picking up your audio, and some computer settings may need to be adjusted.
    • When you are done speaking, click the blue button with the white check mark –
    • You should then see your response generated into text.
    • Click the blue button with the white arrow to submit your response.
